The mask builder allows easy creation of mask files.  Drag around to turn on or off pixels in 3 different modes.  Output the new mask to a tile.  You can load a tile image so you can see what you are creating a mask for.  Transparency allows you to see both at once.

The attached bat file allows for easy running of the program on the lab machines.  Just change it to your user information.

Probably requires at least Java 1.4.2
